The short answer

  • Anthropic filed its S-1 with the SEC and plans to list on the Nasdaq as "ANT".
  • Revenue for the six months to June was about $16.3 billion, versus $4.6 billion in all of 2025.
  • The filing shows a first-half net loss of $80.7 billion, the bulk of it accounting charges.

Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI models, has publicly filed a Form S-1 registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission and plans to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol "ANT", according to the filing and reporting by CNBC and Yahoo Finance.

The company had filed confidentially in June, CNBC reported, giving the SEC time to review its financial statements before they became public.

What the numbers show

Anthropic reported $16.29 billion in revenue for the six months ended June, a 1,304% increase from $1.16 billion a year earlier, CNBC reported. Yahoo Finance noted that the half-year figure exceeds the $4.6 billion the company generated in all of 2025.

Spending is also rising sharply: the company spent $9 billion on AI infrastructure in the first six months of the year, against $7.3 billion throughout 2025, according to Yahoo Finance's reading of the S-1. Roughly one-fifth of revenue came from two customers.

The prospectus shows a net loss of $80.7 billion through June, though Yahoo Finance reports that the vast majority of that was the result of accounting charges. The company lost $42 billion in 2025.

Market reaction

The filing lifted chip and AI-related stocks on Monday. The iShares Semiconductor ETF rose nearly 3%, CNBC reported, and the Nasdaq Composite closed 0.82% higher.
